FROM YOUR CHAIRMAN

It was a pleasure to host our own Arts Society Egerton member, author and accredited lecturer, Melody Pearce, to our October meeting.  She presented ‘From the Battlefield to the Big Screen’ and sold copies of her book.
We greatly look forward to welcoming members and visitors to our next meeting on Wednesday 11th November at 2.30 pm when Mark Hill, of BBC Antiques Roadshow fame, will present ‘Hot Stuff!  The Birth of Studio Glass’.  Visitors are always welcome for just £8 (cash).

We will also continue to take names for our 2027 Study Day which will be on Wednesday 2nd June when the focus will be on the Wallace and Frick Collections with Hilary Williams

Meanwhile we are keen to find a couple of volunteers to organise a visit to a place of cultural interest in 2027.  Suggestions include Godinton House where Melody Foreman is a Guide or Farleys Farmhouse in Sussex home to Roland Penrose and Lee Miller.
